All Symphony and Chamber Orchestra students are invited to attend this trip! 

Join us to perform for a music contest and ride rides at Worlds of Fun!!

Time: 6:45AM – 11:00PM CDT
Pick up and drop off at MNHS.

If you have signed up, please bring your payment and contract on Monday.  We do have spots remaining if you’d like to sign up.  This letter has information regarding, what’s included, the cost, and itinerary.

Details, such as the how much spending money to bring, what to pack, and what you can take in the park, etc. are in these slides.

Saturday, May 11, Morning – Philharmonic Orchestra competes at the NE-ASTA Young Orchestra Festival @ MSHS. Students may also compete as a soloist and/or as part of a small ensemble. Information letter is HERE.

Saturday, May 11, 1 p.m. – Symphony and Chamber performance + carnival @ MNHS. Info letter is HERE.

The MNHS Music Department loves to honor graduates who continue music after high school!

Please complete this form if you plan on being involved in your collegiate music program (Don’t wait for later – it’s easy and will take 30 seconds).

If your child has earned enough points to qualify for letter award consideration, please have them complete the form. They can copy the doc, fill it out, and turn it in on Google Classroom, or they can print it, complete it, and turn it in to Mrs. Martinez or Mrs. Lund.

Students must total their own points. We will review the submissions and post letter awardees in Google Classroom.

Certificates and letters/pins will be handed out in class May 13.

Pick up your posters before or after school or during 4th lunch.

Your Senior Project Thesis is due May 3, and project presentations will happen during class May 16 and 17.

District Music Contest, Elkhorn North HS – Chamber Orchestra and piano solos (Rohan Y and Jayden L) will compete at the 2024 NSAA District Music Contest.

All performances are free and open to the public!  Chamber performs at 9:05 p.m. in the ENHS auditorium.

Elkhorn North HS

Selected soloists and small ensembles will compete at the 2024 NSAA District Music Contest. Come out and support your fellow Mustangs! Soloists – several rehearsed with Ms. Anderson last Friday, several more will rehearse this coming Monday (04/15/2024)- double check the piano rehearsal schedule. 

Tuesday, April 16, 7 p.m.
MNHS Auditorium – all orchestra students + Senior Recognition Night (This is the Tuesday after Spring Break).

• Post-Concert Refreshments Sign Up
• Student call time is 6:30 p.m.
• Dress is concert black, except seniors may wear prom attire!
• Rough draft of the program (as in, senior bios will be there very soon 😉

April 3 – Chamber Orchestra students have the opportunity to rehearse with the Omaha Symphony on Wednesday, April 3 from 9-10:30 a.m. at MNHS! We will share more information as we receive it.

Students will be excused from their 2- and 3-hour classes.
