Instruments…

Instruments – No instruments needed on the first days of school!

  • Philharmonic (5th hour) students will bring instruments on Friday, August 12.
  • Symphony Orchestra (1st and 2nd hour) students will bring instruments starting Monday, August 15.

Do double check your instrument for maintenance: purchasing a new set of strings and getting the bow rehaired are great ways to start ready to make your best sound!

Concert FAQ:

What happens if my orchie is ill? – If an orchestra student is contagious, please keep them home to rest and recuperate! There will be a make-up assignment available for them.  Email Mrs. Martinez so she’s aware.  If a student stays home to rest and is not contagious, and has attended at least 4 consecutive classes (periods 1-4 or 4-7), then they can attend the concert if well enough to do so. Refer to the complete policy and procedure here.
