Seniors –
Pick up your posters before or after school or during 4th lunch. Also, remember that your Senior Project Thesis is due May 2, and project presentations will happen during class May 16.May 2 , Orchestral Letter Award Sheets due-
If your child has earned enough points to qualify for letter award consideration, please have them complete the form. They can copy the doc, fill it out, and turn it in on Google Classroom, or they can print it, complete it, and turn it in to Mrs. Martinez or Mrs. Lund. Students must total their own points. We will review the submissions and post letter awardees in Google Classroom. Certificates and letters/pins will be handed out in class May 12.May 16 – Last day to submit missing work from Sem. 2.
Instrument rentals –
If a student is currently using a school instrument, and plans on returning to orchestra in the 2025-26 school year, I will plan on checking out the same instrument to that student. If your student does not currently use a school instrument, but needs to for the 2025-26 school year, please contact Mrs. Martinez. If you do not plan to return to orchestra next year, we will need your instrument returned by May 19. For those returning, we do ask that school instruments be kept at home this summer for additional practice.Omaha Area Youth Orchestra Auditions –
If your child is interested in auditioning for one of Omaha’s fine youth orchestras, their recordings are due June 1.

Our final social event of the year is scheduled for Monday, May 19 from 4:15-6:15 p.m. in the orchestra room at MNHS.
All orchestra members are invited to attend for games, food, and awards!More information will follow once we’ve decided the details.

UNO and Omaha Area Youth Orchestras (OAYO) is offering a Chamber Music Institute from June 11 to June 15, 2025.
For advanced high school students (including 2025 graduating seniors). Students will be placed into a small chamber ensemble that will be coached by, or joined, by professional musicians and educators! We are accepting all instrumentation (woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion) and voice to come and audition for the institute. If the current student is not a part of OAYO’s Youth Symphony ensemble, we ask them to submit an audition consisting of 2 scales of student’s choice, a 2–3-minute solo or etude and required excerpt for their instrument.
