Group photos of performing arts ensembles (i.e. orchestra, choir, forensics, etc) will be taken during class tomorrow – Tuesday, Dec. 17.

We request that students wear clothes that are white and/or black so we can look uniform.

Mid-Year Assessment

Mid-Year Assessment due Jan. 7 –

Every orchestra student, grades 9-12, is required to record and submit a Mid-Year Assessment that will serve as their first second semester grade and help determine their orchestra placement for the 2025-26 school year.

Students received the materials in class Dec. 6 and will receive practice strategies and some work time in class. However, they are expected to do most of the prep work on their own outside of class. Assessment Materials are also linked here, as well as on Google Classroom.

All Millard Sponsorships

One of the most special events on our orchestra calendar is the All Millard Orchestra Festival held in January.

Each year, we pay for the event with generous donations from businesses in Omaha. This year, Jeanne Dymond (Director of Orchestras at Russell Middle School) is coordinating donors for this event. If you own or work for a business that might be interested in sponsoring this event, please contact Mrs Dymond! She would love to talk to you about possible sponsorship by your business. Here are a few of the exciting benefits of sponsoring our event:

Build a positive brand image by being thanked in every festival communication.

Reach thousands of potential customers by providing a link to a website or coupon we will include on every festival communication.

Build relationships with the families of the 1,000 performers at the event by having a booth at the Baxter Arena before and during the event, which takes place on January 27th, 2025.

Missing Work?

If your child has work marked missing on StudentVue, I must receive it by 5 PM on Friday, Dec. 13 to count for credit for first semester. Any assignments still missing after the deadline will be marked as 0.
